Our next lovely woman from our Fabulous 40 project is….Jennifer Meadows!
Jennifer was born in Euclid, OH, and is the Practice Manager for Meadows Family Dentistry. She loves being physically active. She has been a competitive swimmer since the age of 8 and swam competitively throughout college. Swimming taught her discipline, perseverance, and to work hard for her goals. After college, she competed in triathlons and completed two marathons in her early 20's. Now that she is in her 40's, Jennifer continues to stay active by running and learning to play golf. She also loves to fish with her husband and daughter, centering many vacations around fishing and exploring new waters.
One of her most significant accomplishments is the education she achieved. She has a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Carnegie Mellon University. She also has her Master of Physical Therapy Degree and Doctorate of Physical Therapy Degree from Nova Southeastern University. She is also very proud of her marriage of 17 years to her husband, George. Together they have cultivated and nurtured a healthy marriage and have a fun-loving and creative 11-year-old daughter, Avah. She has also been helping her husband grow his dental practice for the past five years. The business is built on their mission, vision, and values to treat team members and patients as family. They have had an incredible impact on their community by providing pro bono services to military veterans and fostering an environment that encourages children to establish excellent oral health.
Jennifer's personal motto is to "Swim in your own lane." Her father always encouraged her to be her own person and not allow others opinions to impact her negatively. He made a sign for her that hung in her room with this motto. To this day, she remembers his advice and reminds herself not to compare herself to others, but to concentrate on the path that God has led her on. She also loves the quote, "In a world where you can be anything, be kind."
Her advice to her eighteen-year-old self would be to rely on God. While life does not always go the way you foresee, depend on Him. He will see you through with His ultimate plan, which is always better than anything you could ask or imagine. As for the legacy Jennifer would like to leave behind, she wants to have positively impacted the people that she came into contact with, whether it was directly or indirectly. She wants to have a daughter who was raised to be respectful, responsible, and confident in her pursuit of what God has called her to do and leave behind the legacy that she was a supportive and encouraging wife.
After having a pleasant experience working with Christine Nicole Photography a year ago for family portraits, Jennifer wanted to be part of the Fab 40 project. For the first time in her life, she was not dreading the idea of having her picture taken. It was nice not to stress over hair and makeup, which created a fun experience with a lasting final product. Her favorite part of this experience was taking the time to treat herself and capture this time in her life.
