Our next lovely woman from our Fabulous 40 project is….Dawn Bournand!
Dawn is a realtor from St. Petersburg, FL. Personal growth is her hobby and her life's work. As she has pursued her real estate business, she has been referred to as "The Real Estate Coach," helping through the home buying process. Her goal is always to help others find the most fulfilling way to move forward in their lives and move closer to their goals.
She considers her three sons to be her most significant accomplishments. They have helped her grow as she watched them grow. She is also very proud of her achievements within her women's group in Paris: The Paris Women of Success. From the first meeting, this group was a wonderful place for women to gather and support each other and explore possibilities.
Dawn's personal motto is that it is never too late to be what you might have been. She also resonates deeply with any Rumi quotes. One of her favorites is, "Yesterday I was clever, so I wanted to change the world. Today I am wise, so I am changing myself". Growth, family, love, fulfillment, exploration, and discovery are all things that truly matter to Dawn. She believes that life is too rich to narrow down to just one single thing.
Her advice to her eighteen-year-old self would be another Rumi quote: "Respond to every call that excites your spirit." Dawn would describe herself as stubborn, loving, and open. She wants the legacy she leaves behind to be that she helped others find their fulfillment and peace, all the while being able to find these same things for herself.
The idea of empowering women at every age was why Dawn wanted to be part of the Fab 40 project. As women age, it is challenging because society puts so much emphasis on a woman's appearance. She believes that celebrating every season of life is not only a good idea but a brilliant way to enjoy each step of your journey. The idea of seeing "the fabulousness in yourself" really resonated with her. Her favorite part of the experience was taking a bit of time to remember that an empty cup can quench no thirst. Dawn says she tends to forget to fill herself up first before she can help others. This project allowed her to be able to reflect on that fact.
Want to connect and learn more about Dawn? She can be reached at http://dawnbournand.remax.com or https://dawnzbournand.com. After spending 20 years of her life in Paris, France, and its suburbs, she seeks connection with other internationally-minded women who see themselves as Citizens of the World.
