With our Fabulous 40 project, our hope is for you to truly reconnect with yourself, see your beauty and spirit the way others already see you. Let's celebrate all you have been through and where you are going!
Our next lovely woman from our Fabulous 40 project is….Kim Longhitano!
Kim is from Long Island, New York, and is retired from medical equipment and service sales. Retiring at the age of 56, Kim has had the opportunity to look back over the last 40 years of her adult life and consider what her contributions have been thus far. She feels very content with her impact on the quality of healthcare in her community through her consultative sales for a Fortune 500. Working as a successful sales executive in a male-dominated field and consistently surpassing annual goals is something that brings her great pride.
Her greatest accomplishment is her family. She has two children and believes that creating two human beings and being proud of who they are becoming is no small feat! She also has been married to her soulmate for over 24 years. Being seen, heard, and appreciated is a genuinely significant factor in her life. She feels very blessed that her core life is rich; her surrounding career accomplishments pale in comparison.
Kim lives by her personal motto, "What can I do today to ensure my success tomorrow?" Your health, family, love life, and career all require daily investments to meet your ultimate goals. She also is a big proponent of women supporting other women. This idea is critical to raising the bar for ALL women- when we lift another, we lift ourselves.
Her advice to her eighteen-year-old self would be to appreciate your beauty today, for what your beauty will be tomorrow will be different, but just as gorgeous! Kim considers herself as very self-aware, and others describe her as devoted, committed, passionate, and personable. She wants to leave behind two magnificent human beings, her children Cody and Briella, who will, in turn, leave behind their own legacy of love, health, and happiness for themselves and all who crossed their life paths.
She wanted to be part of the Fab over 40 project for a few different reasons. She wanted to support a locally owned, female, small business. She also believes celebrating the beauty of women over 40 was long overdue! Every battle wound, wrinkle, and scar earned is a testament to a woman's strength, resilience, and commitment to living a full life. The beauty of youth was the platform that shaped who women are today. On a more personal journey, Kim wanted to capture the essence of feeling beautiful again. She wants to envelop the need to celebrate where she is today because tomorrow and what we all have at this moment is all that we will have.
